Our life in books

This is our eigth year of homeschooling and I finally got around to blogging about our adventures a few years ago.
I love the path that God has us on.
We get to enjoy the lightbulb moments in educating our children and have quite a few of them ourselves.

We are starting Exploration to 1850's this school year, 2012-2013 using My Father's World curriculum.
Rome to the Reformation,
Exploration to the 1850's and NOW.........

Below is the week by week of lessons for this year if you'd like to start at the beginning.
There is also a handy LABELS area that you can peek through to find a specific lesson.

The Library.........a peaceful, pleasant place for the Pam's

Something about the library. Sure, it's quiet, you think that's the reason I go there.....because it's never quiet around the house and when we go there, it's a guarantee?

Okay, busted, that's part of the reason. But, the main reason is, whenever I say we are going, the kids do their best  FLASH impression and are in the car ready before I have even found my keys. This is an exciting place to them, a place of possibility, a place of independence, a place of  purpose; to find and carry as many books as possible to the front desk without dropping them and disturbing the aforementioned peace and quiet.

Just a comment about  how great it is to preorder the books online before heading out. Our library will ship them from any of 8 libraries in their system and it's a rare day that I can't get at least 8 of 10 of the MFW recommendations. So easy and efficient, tada!
